Screenings, Contests, & Other Events
In 2003 & 2004 we've had several events but few pics! We've had
several members submit their short films to
festivals (and win!), featured a few more Short Script
Competitions, and staged two 'Crash Comedy' productions directed &
acted by our ensemble.
March 22, 2002: Center for Communication's Interview with
Chris Moore & Pete Jones
Our Agony members went to hear Chris and Pete speak on their
experience with Project
Greenlight, and to thank Chris for providing us with the
opportunity to meet each other
and form Agony Productions.
February 2, 2002: The Agony Round Table
Our first Agony Round Table discussion on February 2, 2002,
was an amazing time.
We welcomed many new members, and the discussion covered many
aspects of screenwriting
and filmmaking from a range of points of view: new writers,
educated writers, prolific
writers, indie filmmakers, big-budget filmmakers, actors, film
lovers, and film critics.

July 20, 2001: O'Flaherty's Gathering to Meet Elyse Rubin,
Project Greenlight's Web Producer
The founding members of Agony Productions met
through Project Greenlight. Several of
our members had the pleasure of meeting Elyse, Project
Greenlight's Web Producer, at
O'Flaherty's Pub. We discussed our newly formed company, Agony
Productions, and
discussed Project Greenlight's impact on us as writers and
filmmakers. Coincidentally,
this was the same night many of us were beginning a weekend
film shoot with Carl Joglar
for his short film Crossfire.
