Renee Barnett* is thrilled to be making her MITF debut with the cast of In Our Own Image. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and has done a variety of readings, showcases and workshops in the city. Some favorites include Helena in The Dream Palace (a musical version of A Midsummer Night's Dream) and Sophie in Artist Descending a Staircase. Renee has also toured with Artspower National Children's Theatre as Caroline Ingalls in Laura Ingalls Wilder: Growing up on the Prairie and Miss Clavel in Madeline and the Bad Hat. She was seen most recently as Princess Daea in a reading of the new musical 18 Karat King written by Hal Hackady (Minnie's Boys and Goodtime Charlie) and Larry Applewhite. Renee would like to thank her husband Kevin for his continuous support and for taking care of their 8 month old daughter while she goes to rehearsal! Renee is a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association.
